Ocular October 6: The Eternal Eyes of Gzemnid!

Welcome one and all to our sixth annual Ocular October! Every year I revisit this blog during this spooktacular month of scares to provide more eye candy about my favorite D&D monster, the beholder. This year, I was inspired by the Hand and Eye of Vecna as well as the Infinity Stones of Marvel comics, and I wondered what a beholder version of both would be. So here it is! Whether your players are looking for some eerie Ioun Stones capable of more than the usual orbit-uaries, engaging in a race to the finish against an ornery eye tyrant foe, or trying to become an eleven-eyed deity themselves, this month is all about the Eternal Eyes of Gzemnid!

(For those unawares, Gzemnid is a Beholder God – the only deity they worship besides the Great Mother herself, in fact! I detailed my version of the Great Mother on the last day of Ocular October 1! And if you’d like to read more about Gzemnid, here’s his Forgotten Realms wiki entry!)
